BLOG: New Blog: Resistance in Georgia

On November 7, riot police violently dispelled mass demonstration in Tbilisi. Hundreds of people reported injuries and poisoning by teargas. Independent TV stations were shut down, their equipment destroyed. Opposition members were severely beaten, arrested and poisoned. Emergency rule mandated for suspension of all media. By this, Saakashvili's government revealed its true authoritarian nature. This site aims to support peaceful resistance to authoritarian rule in Georgia.
