Application Deadline: November 3, 2008

ArtsLink Residencies places artists and arts managers from Eastern and Central Europe, Russia, Central Asia and the Caucasus - ArtsLink Fellows - at US arts organizations for five-week residencies. Host organizations are selected by CEC staff from an application process open to non-profit organizations from all fifty US states. We alternate the disciplines that we fund each year, so please check below to determine when you should apply.

November 3, 2008 deadline - performing arts and literature
(residency will take place in fall 2009)


November 9, 2009 deadline - visual and media arts
(residency will take place in fall 2010)

Eligible Countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

ArtsLink Residencies are funded through public and private sources including CEC ArtsLink, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Trust for Mutual Understanding, the Ohio Arts Council, the Kettering Fund and the Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation with additional support from the Polish Cultural Institute and the Romanian Cultural Institute.

Independent Projects awards support artists and arts managers from Eastern and Central Europe, Russia, Central Asia and the Caucasus who plan to undertake projects in the United States.
Applicants must have a letter of invitation from a U.S. non-profit organization in order to apply for an Independent Projects award. If you do not have a letter of invitation, please consider the
Residencies program.
