Alex Kedelashvili: "The monastery complex of david gareji caves is located in georgia.....it's near to azerbaijan and is stretched over 25km... the state board line, which is located near to this historical monument is not determined yet and this issue caused discord between azerbaijan and georgia.
It was founded in the first part of the 6th century, by David - one of the”13 Asurien Parsons”, who came to Georgia. Afterwards the complexes of various cave-monasteries had been created gradually. They are : Natlismtsemeli, Tsamebuli, Mghvime, Qolagori, Dodos Rqa, Udabno, Aghdgomisa, Didi Qvabebi and etc. this complex is located in desert , which is like volcanic landscape."
