The Georgian Film Commission was established in 2001 with the financial support of the Eurasia Foundation and the assistance of the international experts Frank Jacoby and Doris Storm. (He is a well-known documentary producer in the United States and she is the former Film Commissioner of Connecticut.)And in 2003-2004 for adaptation it has gotten Eurasia foundation-Caucasus corporation programm’s support. GFC exists to serve the feature film and television sector in Georgia and to bring their talent and expertise, along with Georgia's many advantages, to the attention of the international film and television community.

The Georgian Film Commission can provide all services for filmmakers in our country, including information about locations, facilities, crews, permits, immigration, transportation and accommodations for producers. It also offers individual business consultations covering the general areas of production, legal and financial issues and distribution.

This is an exciting time in the film and broadcast industry; new digital technologies are radically changing the way in which films and programs are produced. Georgian film companies and individual professionals have been using the new technologies extensively. We are committed to giving production teams worldwide the data they need to make informed choices when booking equipment and facilities.

And Georgia is a good place to film! We can provide not only the technology butmore important, the human resources to make your shoot a success. That is the commitment of the Georgia Film Commission.
