MUSIC: ARMENIAN MUSIC AWARDS

Established in 1998, Armenians Music Awards, also known as AMA, is dedicated to improving the quality of life and cultural condition for Armenian music and its markets. The organization has many musicians, producers and other recording professionals as members. We are internationally known for the Armenian Music Awards and are responsible for numerous groundbreaking outreach, professional development, cultural enrichment, education and human service programs.The AMA is THE MOST watched event in the Armenian language by the Armenian people around the world. This year’s 9th AMA will be held at the Universal Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles on November 23, 2007 and will be televised in native Armenia (population 3.5 million) and also in all the large Armenian Diasporas in parts of the world including, but not limited to, Russia, France, Iran, the United States, Georgia, Syria, Lebanon, Argentina, and Ukraine (total Diaspora population of 8.3 million). From all walks of life, this audience spans a wide and very educated demographic spectrum. Musical categories that will be recognized during this year’s AMA include Retro, Traditional, R&B and Rap, Contemporary, Rock, Pop, and Patriotic (among others). Awards will also be given to winners in the Best Music Video and Best Concert Video categories. The very best of Armenian recording artists, celebrities, composers and other industry leaders will be attending the 2007 AMA to represent fans of all ages and lifestyles. This year’s Lifetime Achievement award will be presented to Edward Mirzoyan.
