VIDEO: Hide message in English American's Experience in Iran :"The Children of Adam" (5 min short)
An half Iranian-Turkish half Dutch/English-Americans experience growing up in America, journeying to Iran and living there for one year.
My name is Nina. I was born in Binghamton New York on March 21, 1982 to an American-Dutch and Welsh mother and an Iranian-Azeri Turkish father. My mother's ancestors have been in America since the time of the early American settlers. They came from Holland and Wales. The Hamblets traveled in Ox carts from Vermont to settle in New York State. They built a home and founded Hambletville. Steven Hancock came from England and founded the Christ Church in Binghamton. David Bryant was a bear hunter and a giant. His hat and shoes are in a museum. My father is an Azeri-Turk from the Iranian side of the tri border area of Turkey, former Soviet Azerbaijan and Iran. It is a very captivating, beautiful and fascinating place, where the Silk Road runs through my Grandfather's old home, where Noah's Arc had landed, and where Saint Jude's grave rests, among the Kurds and the Turks. I have over 200 wonderful and loving family members in Iran, where I lived for 1 year, from 2002-2003.
