Gamarjoba! I'm excited to announce the first of many episodes on Georgian Music. This time we have musicologist and friend John Graham giving you a basic introduction to the music. John is a specialist in Georgian liturgical chants but knows Georgian music deeply. John will return in the future. And over time I will also have others discussing the music and the musicians themselves.

Das Thema der heutigen Sendung ist Georgien und natürlich das große politische Ereignis für Georgien: Visa Freiheit für Reisende aus Georgien im Schengen-Raum. Unsere Gäste erzählen von eigenen Eindrucke über das Land und die Leute,über die Traditionen und Kultur. Die Frage "Ist Georgien Europa oder Asien? ", wird mit dem Künstler Georg Wachberg, der Psychotherapeutin Silvia Franke, der Germanistin Ekaterine Teti und dem Bildhauer Giorgi Okropiridze diskutiert. Außerdem werden die ZuschauerInnen über die georgischen Veranstaltungen in Österreich erfahren und darüber wo man in Wien die georgischen Volkslieder lernen und singen kann.
