CULTURE: “Native language”is released from curriculum in Georgia (anspress.com)

Chief of National Assembly of Georgian Azerbaijanis, Dashgin Gulmammadov suggests to give Azerbaijani language a status of second state language.

Azerbaijanis living in Georgia face serious problems. Chief of National Assembly of Georgian Azerbaijanis, Dashgin Gulmammadov said in the press conference he held today. D.Gulmammadov demanded official Tbilici to solve problems of our counterparts related with their rights of land and education. To him, Georgian government holds national discrimination to local Azerbaijanis. “80% Azerbaijanis have no land. Land areas belonging to Azerbaijanis are being sold to Georgian citizens from central Georgia and Tbilisi.
