ESSAY: Some Writings by James A. Hopkin.

Two Days ago James sent me this email with fabulous links:

Hi Ralph,
I thought these may be of interest to you for your Georgian website:

In addition i have written 3 short stories about Georgia - these will be on BBC radio 4 (and online), 3-45pm, on February 9,10, 11 next year.

The novel, 'Winter under Water' (Picador) and the stories, 'Even the Crows Say Krakow' (Picador), available now. The short story, 'Jeane' in the anthology, 'Paint a Vulgar Picture' (Serpent's Tail) just out.

ALI SMITH - ''James Hopkin is a writer of great grace and vitality''

''Sentence by sentence, image by image, there are few contemporary writers who understand words the way Hopkin does. In fact, I can think of no other. If you care about fine writing, read Winter Under Water.''

- M J HYLAND, author of the Booker-shortlisted, Carry Me Down
