Internews Georgia's project - media portal MEDIA.GE has been implemented since August 2005. MEDIA.GE is the first and so far the only web-site in the Internet, which is solely interested in the events taking place in Georgian media.
The news published at MEDIA.GE is gathered by our correspondents. Besides, we use the materials published by Georgian and foreign media outlets; press releases and statements from international media unions and other international organizations or state bodies.
Under the present project MEDIA.GE has been disseminating news bulletin since October 2005. The bulletin is prepared in the Georgian, English and Russian languages. It has about 1200 subscribers all over the world, the number of which increases everyday. Dozens of users read news, articles etc. on our web site everyday.
Internews Georgia implements the project with its own resources. The project's authors believe that MEDIA.GE supports sustainability and development of independent mass media outlets; protection of journalists' interests and rights, strengthening of solidarity among Georgian journalists, informing the world on the events taking place in Georgian media.
