This site is dedicated to Armenian rock music, existing despite to the long-standing problems. If previously rock musicians were not in the highlight of public life due to political reason, currently there found themselves in a shadow of booming pop music. The aim of this site is to tell about the past and present of Armenian rock music and present the most interesting groups.

Six Waves of Armenian Rock Movement

Prior to reviewing and writing about modern Armenian rock music it is necessary to cast a retrospective glance to the previous period and recall then situation. Much to our regret, young generation, actually, knows nothing about that, since this issue has not been covered widely in past time not to mention present time. Yet, past period is abundant with many interesting achievements to take proud in. Events that took place over the last 35 years were taken as a basis and is devided provisionally into certain periods. We express our apologies for failing to mention someone or any events.
