Text & Photo 14. August 2008 von Giorgi Zghuladze
Fully armored “Urali” of Russian Army was stopped by the officials of Internal Affairs Ministry, around Igoeti post today morning.
Both the cabin and the body of the machine were armored. Only by opening fire from machine-gun toward the wheels they managed to stop it. Machine-gun do nothing to the body of the vehicle but finally the wheel was damaged and it was forced to stop.
There were used lavatory pans, TV-s, video and audio tape-recorders, tooth brushes, food, baby pampers and many others, in short everything which could be taken away from the houses.
Unfortunately technique was taken from the vehicle before I reached the car to take pictures, but one audio tape recorder still can be seen on the photo.
There were two Russians in the cab, which there so madly drunk that they missed the road and instead of Gori they went toward Tbilisi. Both of them are arrested now (due to my information).
