RESEARCH: Presentation of the Regional Scholarship Programme in Yerevan (ge.boell.org)

(ge.boell.orgSince 2003, the Heinrich Böll Foundation has run a yearly “on site” scholarship programme for up-and-coming academics in the social sciences from all South Caucasus nations. The researchers (maximum age 35) work at their home places on individual interdisciplinary projects in the fields of contemporary history, politics, gender, critical sociology and sustainable urban development.

The scholarship program is orientated expressly at social science research in the South Caucasus.

It endeavors to:
support young social scientists in carrying out individual and interdisciplinary research; enact a methodological and substantive renewal of the study of history and social sciences in the South Caucasus; promote regional cooperation among young academics in the South Caucasus.

This year, the Heinrich Böll Foundation South Caucasus Regional Office announces a call for applications for obtaining funding for research projects in 2013. In this regard, the Foundation is pleased to invite interested young researchers and representatives of civil society in Armenia to the presentation of its Regional Scholarship Programme in Yerevan on Wednesday, 3 October, 2012, at 18:00.
